牧師さんが「アナタハカノジョヲアイスルコトヲ、チカイマスカ」と尋ねたら、びっくりするほど大きな声で「はい！誓います！！」と答えた新郎。
会場からはその大声に失笑らしきものが聞こえた。
が、そのあとに続いて「カタクセッソウヲマモルコトヲチカイマスカ」と聞かれた新婦がかなりしっかりした声で「はい、誓います！」と答えると、もう誰も笑わなかった。
結婚式とはこういうものである。
参列する人は、二人がどれだけ本当に結婚したかったのかを知って満足するのである。
