駅に着くと、津波警報解除のアナウンスが流れていた。何事もなくてよかった。
地震を防ぐことはできないが、戦争は防がなければならない。何事も起きないことのほうがよいに決まっている。兵器が戦争を止めることはない。抑止力向上のために軍事力を強化すべきというのは詭弁である。

Finished today’s work.
When I arrived at the station, the P.A. announced that tsunami warning was canceled. I’m glad nothing happened.
We cannot prevent the earthquake but have to prevent the war. Nothing happened is better than something wrong happen to us. All weapons cannot stop the war. It is sophistry that military force should be strengthen to improve a deterrent.
